Project management: what is it all about |
Any project manager handles four elements: spending, timing, time and producing a satisfactory result. Professional PMs also aim at making the organization of work more efficient. Take any project and you will observe that it needs labour, funds and machinery to produce needed outcomes. There are a number of contributing factors that are vital for successful project management. A couple of them are listed below:
- Setting goals and conducting analysis.
- Handling negative possibilities. Take any project and you will see that it has a number of risks that should be accounted for.
- Finding people and machinery for the project.
- Understanding the result you wish to obtain on completion of the project.
- Managing the project from the point of view of who is doing what and when.
- Managing adequate quality.
- Handling instability. Change is constant. Most projects develop in time, so the factor of dynamics should be properly considered.
- Speaking with those involved with the project.
